We attended the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce Action for Business event on 26 October to speak about ADR.

It was surprising that very few attendees had heard of the requirement to offer details of a certified ADR Provider to customers who complain, on a day when Ofcom announced a £4.6m fine for failing to deal with complaints properly. Failure to provide details can lead to a fine or even imprisonment!

Having said that, perhaps not surprising when a survey reported that few business had ever heard of unfair terms in consumer contracts and did not realise that terms can be invalidated.
