A couple of sad reports in the press about will disputes highlights the emotional and financial cost of such disputes. Many people are turning to mediation as a way of resolving them quickly and efficiently and more importantly to heal family divisions.

The last thing that anyone wants is to get involved in a dispute about a loved one’s Estate. We can help you to avoid that happening, or if it has already occurred, to prevent relationship(s) deteriorating further. Such disputes can become costly, and need to be handled sensitively, fairly and with little, or no loss or damage to the Estate, and avoiding as much as possible, payment of tax penalties, and/or interest.

We offer mediation services to individuals, administrators or Personal Representatives of Estates, to help them contest probate of a loved one’s Estate, whether there is a Will in place, or not. That could also relate to disputes regarding how the Will is interpreted; the value of the assets in the Estate; any improper management of the Estate (including) by an administrator or Executor; disagreements between beneficiaries etc.  Mediation is the ideal method to resolve them and cost effective if both parties mindsets are the same.
