Today we are celebrating the women mediators on our panel, including Nichola Evans, Rajinder Rai, Janeen Achtar and Dr Jackie Kenny
Nichola Evans
Nichola has over 25 years’ experience of dealing with commercial litigation matters. She has litigated matters both in the domestic courts (including the specialist divisions of the High Court plus appeal courts) and arbitration (domestic and international).
Nichola specialises in high value contract claims and has operated in a number of sectors most notably insurance, public sector and health sector. She is known for her commercial, pragmatic approach and her use of Alternative Dispute Resolution in all its forms.
Rajinder Rai
Rajinder is a solicitor and mediator with expertise in the field of wills and probate. She is a dedicated highly knowledgeable mediator with extensive experience providing a wide range of legal services. Areas of expertise include contentious probate, professional negligence claims; boundary/property disputes, residential landlord and tenant possession/disrepair cases, neighbour disputes, cohabitee disputes, and general contract/building disputes.
Janeen Achtar
A highly motivated mediator with over 15 years of experience of teaching law with the last 5 years teaching Commercial Mediation.
Janeen’s approach to mediation is mainly facilitative. Janeen encourages the parties to explore their interests and not become entrenched in positions. However, she can also lead and evaluative mediation.

Dr Jackie Kenny became a mediator following a career in the NHS spanning 40 years. Managing a service in a high pressured, stressful environment required strong leadership skills including the soft skills which are essential to mediation.
Jackie also has a great deal of experience (over 20) mediations conducted remotely in consumer cases under our ADR Roadshow project
