As often happens in negotiations parties often don’t come to terms until the last minute and mediations can go on throughout the night. Brexit negotiations seem to have reached that stage with reports of pizzas being delivered to keep the blood sugar levels up as talks go on through the night.

The stakes are high, with forecasts of a 2% drop in GDP if there is no deal. Wherever you stand, for deal or no deal, or independent the consequences of the negotiations will have repercussions for many years.

The sticking points appear to be access to fish stocks and competition/level playing field. There is also the issue of the Internal Markets Act and the withdrawal agreement. I would be interested to know what people think the likely outcome will be. There seems to be a lack of comment about the process, perhaps because people are tired of discussing it and just want Brexit done in one form or another.
