Rajinder Rai
Rajinder is a practising solicitor, having been qualified for over 23 years, and is also an accredited Civil and Commercial Mediator. Over that period, she has acted for clients in relation to a mixture of civil and commercial disputes, including contract/construction disputes; cohabitee disputes; property/boundary disputes; insolvency disputes; professional negligence claims; personal injury and clinical negligence claims, and landlord and tenant matters. On top of that, her more current caseload has included a bias towards contentious probate matters, such as challenging Wills, Trust disputes, and Court of Protection cases, which have seen a sharp rise in the current pandemic.
Rajinder is known for providing candid and honest advice, a good listener and empathetic to her clients’ needs. She is able to relate to all walks of life, considering providing a client service, to be the top off her priorities, coupled with preserving costs and ensuring that they remain proportionate. Aside from that, she has a passion for collaborating and sharing with other businesses, where the opportunity presents itself. By doing so, she provides an all round service to all her clients that goes outside of her initial instructions.
Rajinder adopts a pragmatic logical approach to matters, encouraging parties to mediate than litigating cases to trial.
Rajinder also sits on the Executive Committee of the Civil Litigation Section of the Law Society (London), which runs interactive workshops, events; prepares articles and other material, to keep practitioners up to date with changes in law and procedure.
In her spare time, Rajinder enjoys going to the gym, pilates, listening to music, dancing, riding her bike, cooking and fine dining!

“Rajinder Rai is a credit to her firm. As a client you feel confident that she is always working in your best interests and will try to keep your legal expenditure to what is absolutely necessary. Given the legal complexities, she works hard to ensure that she explains things in a way that can be understood and is always careful to manage expectations.”

“Rajinder, has been an absolute rock to me on a professional and emotional level. My case is very sensitive and I have struggled with the emotional implications of the whole situation. Rajinder has been empathetic and professional the whole time and I don’t know how I would have got through it, without her support and that of her team.
